What is WIC?
WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and
Children which provides valuable nutrition and health information. WIC helps all types of families. If
you are a father, mother, grandparent, foster parent or legal guardian of a child under five years of
age,
you can apply for WIC. Learn how to make healthy life long nutrition and lifestyle choices.
WIC provides nutritious foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, referral services. The Montana
Department of Public Health and Human Services administers the statewide WIC Program.
Do you Qualify?
Pregnant or breastfeeding women, women whose pregnancies ended early for any reason, infants and children up to five who are at or, below annual income guidelines qualify for WIC services. To see if you qualify go to the State of Montana WIC Page
Medicaid, SNAPS, TANF, FDPIR, and School Lunch Program (free or reduced price school lunch) participants automatically qualifyfor WIC Services.
