Weatherization

The Weatherization Program helps participants to improve the heating efficiency of their homes and thus reduce their energy consumption. This is done by insulating your home, sealing air leaks, tuning and cleaning your main heating source, and addressing any safety concerns.

To participate in the Weatherization Program, you must apply and be approved for LIEAP benefits. When you are approved for those benefits, you will automatically be enrolled in the Weatherization Program. Due to the high demand for weatherization in our area, there will be a waiting period and because of this, you may request energy conservation supplies. These supplies are not as extensive as a full home weatherization but can help reduce your heating bill and make your home more energy efficient until a full weatherization can be done.
